QATrax Views
TraxStar's QATrax Views have evolved. Building upon your suggestions,
visibility is provided into the workflow; into a single test environment,
across all test environments in an organization or spanning organizations.
The evolution from reports to views and on to dashboards is proceeding.
Visibility confers the ability to manage the workflow, keeping resources
busy and tests moving.
Configurable Software
QATrax is designed for visibility using configurable software, not custom.
Our goal is to provide visibility in the form of dashboards and views
which you, the user, can adapt to your environment. We are not there yet
but this goal guides our product evolution. Our users are the source of
our inspiration and provide guidance.
2007 Metrics Survey
The Test
Lab Management Metrics Survey for 2007 has been downloaded, reviewed
and discussed. Your comments and suggestions are meritable but we must
turn them into actionable items. Your thoughts on how to make this happen
are appreciated.
The goal of the 2007 Metrics Survey is to foster a collaborative forum
among colleagues in test environments. With more and more of your customers
and managers asking for objective measurements, having ready access to
meaningful lab metrics is at the top of many to do lists.
TraxStar focuses on assisting labs to manage their lab environments as
a business. Incorporating metrics into routine management activities is
an important aspect of that effort.
Let us know what you think about the format for a dialog about metrics.

New Customers
Ditchwitch
and YUSA select QATrax!
Johnson
Controls - Automotive Electronics is live!
Ditchwitch, a manufacturer
of heavy construction equipment and YUSA, a manufacturer of automotive
rubber components join Cisco, Continental AG, Hewlett-Packard, JCI, Panduit
and Pentair in the group of manufacturers benefiting from the use of QATrax
to manage their test environments. These manufacturers, in collaboration
with TraxStar, are addressing productivity now.
Manufacturers
are increasingly trying to do more testing with existing resources. Why?
Because One Day Matters in meeting customer
commitments and getting product to market.
In dynamic test
environments, visibility into test activities can save time by eliminating
some non-value added activities, facilitating changing priorities and
fostering better decisions.
Testing Environments
A global community of testing environments is a goal for a group of loosely
connected individuals who work in those environments
The benefits from a community of connected parties include industry benchmarking,
business partner discovery (e.g., matching appropriate Independent Test
Labs and In-House Labs), best practice sharing, shared data content (e.g.,
descriptions of test methods, equipment capabilities and reporting templates),
and group buying power (e.g., test lab management, scheduling and metric
software and services).
QATrax is evolving toward a live environment for the test lab community.
In this environment, events occurring in your lab, in other parts of your
company and across the test lab community will drive the decision making
in your lab. When something happens that you should be aware of, you will
be. Stay tuned for further developments!
Irrespective of QATrax's evolution toward global connectivity, how about
sharing your thoughts as to the benefits and problems associated with
a global test environment grid?
